I made a thing and I 100% encourage sharing it with as many people as possible through all means possible.
reminder we are literally supposed to ask if you want the store’s card, and we are supposed to push it a little. we’re supposed to make light conversation. this is shit that is in our training. don’t get fucking snippy.
also don’t get mad at the employees because they ran out of stock. chances are, they didn’t decide how much of something came in, and they most certainly didn’t decide how many people bought it already.
Honestly, often they will get fired if they don’t play the 20 questions checkout game. Dont be a douche to people just trying to stay employed. Its YOUR choice to be out shopping at ungodly hours, its their JOB to be there, have a soul, be kind
They can and do get fired for things like not asking if you want to open a store card or if you want to add the candy or whatever by the register. They are just doing their jobs. Don’t be an asshole.
I can back this up— I got “gently” let go from The Body Shop for not getting enough people to sign up for the Love Your Body card. I was a manager, I had a great items-per-transaction average, but I didn’t act like an a-hole about the stupid store card, so I got let go.
Yes, please everyone, no matter what time of the year, do not hassle retail employees. For the love of god.
